On Sunday 43 riders and their families braved the cold August winds and attended Series 2, Round 2 at HJDBC. There were plenty of jackets, beanies and gloves to keep everyone warm enough to get through the day and lots of volunteers to cook the BBQ, the warmest place at the track!

The morning began with some warm up activities and stretches for the riders. This was followed by; orange, slow, bending, ring return, looping, accelerate and brake and footed clover. Once again results were close and sportsmanship was prominent.

The lunchtime buzz was electric with everyone taking a well-earned break to refuel their bikes and bodies.

The afternoon was spent on the race track with heats and finals now with up to 6 riders on the grid. This, along with a dusty track made for exciting starts.

Thank you to 'On the Throttle' for your kind voucher donation which was won by a lucky member in our raffle for the day.

The final results were so close there was one class, 65cc with both an equal first and equal third which generated a 'run off' at the end of the day. This was a fun way to end the day.

Results for the day were;

8 Nippers:
#177 Coby
#601 Tiana
#42 Saul
#282 Saba
#823 Ryder
#41 Tate
# 720 Matteo
#263 Marli

50cc - #5 Jamie
MW -  #17 Chad
65cc - #150 Sam
85cc - #61 Byron
JBW - #04 Kye

The full list of results can be found here and yet again Steve has captured some amazing thrills & spills of the day which can be found here.

Our marshals definitely need a shout out today as I am sure they are only still thawing out after being amongst the elements for the day.

Our next event is the Penrith Interclub on this Sunday 18th August. With such a strong performance today lets put those skills in action and show the other Minikhana clubs how it’s done! Go Hornsby!!!
