Pleasant, peaceful Penrith was populated with patient, playful people last Sunday the 18th August. The Sydney Minikhana clubs came together, once again this calendar year to compete rider to rider, club to club at the Penrith Interclub.
The day was forecast to be warm and sunny however the morning chill was evident as bikes were unloaded from trailers and pushed down the narrow car park to warm up for the day. Red Frogs were handed out at sign on which kept all the kids (and parents) going for the day. Riders gathered in the pits and awaited their event area designations. This is always a good opportunity to socialize with friends and meet new ones. Events competed in across the day included; accelerate & brake, slow, bending, orange, minicross, ring return and footed clover. Riders competed within their grade with some riders competing in a new grade after placing at the last interclub. Hornsby were well represented and as always “had each other's backs” by supporting one another both on and off the track. A full list of the points can be found here. Podium places for Hornsby included: 50cc B Grade - #32 Sienna - 2nd MW A Grade - #17 Chad - 1st MW B Grade - #45 Joel - 1st 65cc A Grade - #150 Sam - 2nd 65cc B Grade - #751 Jordan - 3rd 65cc C Grade - #23 Charlie - 2nd 85cc C Grade - #125 Nicholas - 1st. 85cc C Grade - #106 Sam - 2nd JBW A Grade - #91 Declan - 2nd JBW A Grade - #04 Kye - 3rd JBW B Grade - #255 Max - 1st JBW C Grade - #414 Luke - 1st JBW C Grade - #167 Jackson - 3rd Thankyou to the Penrith club for hosting yet another great event and thanks to all the parents, marshals, officials & volunteers to help make this day possible.
