Bunnings Xmas Family Night - 4th Dec 2014

Still mopping up after wild storms the day before, and with the threat of more to come that evening, Hornsby Junior Dirtbike Members were considering cancelling this event and doing only a static demonstration.  As set-up began though, the weather gods began to give us a reprieve and riding got under way just after 6pm.

Approx. 8 riders, put on a crowd gathering display of Minikhana skills, as they entertained on lookers during 2 hours of cone events at the 2014 Bunnings Xmas Family Fun Night.  With some grippy tarmac riding, that almost caught a number of riders out, the exciting sport of minikhana got taken to a new level as riders had to adjust their style from the relatively slippery dirt surface, to a hard unforgiving tarmac surface.

A very successful night, saw many members talking to the general public all about what the Hornsby Junior Dirtbike Club do and how they can get involved.  With the riding season finished for 2014, it was great event for the young riders who attended to try something different and help attract interest in the club for the 2015 season that will get under way in late January.
