A fine but hot weekend, produced dusty and slippy conditions for competitors in the 2014 NSW State Minkhana Championships, but Hornsby riders were up for the challenge. With no fewer than 13 riders making it onto the podium and many other riders scoring some great results and points for the club, during the 2 days of competition, Hornsby climbed its way to the overall club win.
Along the way it also produced not one, but TWO, State Minikhana Champions. Matthew #117 is the 2014 NSW Minikhana State Champion for 85cc Small Wheel riding his home prepared, stock 2014 KTM 85sx. Brad #246 is the 2014 NSW Minikhana State Champion for 85cc Junior Big Wheels, also riding a home prepared, stock 2015 KTM 85sx. Both riders were ecstatic to win and rode superbly over 12 events to finish on the top spot of the podium. A lot of riders were competing at the state titles for the first time in their riding career and did not let the pressure get to them as they showed that Hornsby is a force not to be reckoned with! With plenty of smiles and club camaraderie, all riders enjoyed a long weekend of riding and have capped of one of the most successful years in Hornsby's history. As the riding year draws to a close, we have only a few events left, of which will be the last round of the Club Championship to be held on Sunday 9th Nov. All committee positions will be up for re-election during the AGM that will also be held at the club on that day so please come along and support the future of the club and have your say. To all the riders, parents and supporters of the weekend, Hornsby Junior Dirtbike Committee say a huge thank you and large CONGRATULATIONS!!! Comments are closed.
