On Sunday the 30th April 2017 Hornsby Junior Dirt Bike Club will host the 2nd round of the 2017 Minikhana Interclub series.
Minikhana is a motorcycle discipline that develops the children’s skill and speed over a range of events. It provides vital skills to enter the sport of dirt bike riding with its focus on training children in the art of controlling a motorcycle. Through a tightly controlled program of activities which include a range of skilled events and motocross, the children gain the skills to become safer riders in all disciplines.
Clubs from all over the state will be represented and up to 200 of riders aged between 4 and 16 are expected to compete. This is a very family orientated sport and we expect parents, relatives, family and friends to come along to our regional event.
Since 1970, Hornsby Junior Dirt Bike Club has provided a local supervised and legal venue for children to ride their dirt bikes. We are a committee of mums and dads who are passionate about promoting newcomers to our sport and training our kids to become competent riders. We compete under the junior motocross and minikhana rules set out by the sport’s controlling body Motorcycling Australia (MA).The Club’s survival over this time is due to the hard work of volunteers from within the club and local community.
In order for our Minikhana Interclub event to be a success we are seeking assistance from businesses within the local community and wider area to contribute to helping us run this event.
The main costs associated in running this event is in the awards we give to the kids at the end of the competition. As well as our monster raffle which we run on the day.
To run these events we need the generous support of sponsors. Please take this opportunity to increase your company and/or product exposure through our club and events.
If you would like further information, or to support and sponsor the club please contact us. Details are on the bottom of the Sponsorship Letter or you can email or facebook us…
